Taking place bi-annually in the Spring time, as the name indicates, this event aims to promote and present how the Laban & Bartenieff theory and practice have been applied across different fields. Most projects that we present are led or created by CMAs, but the event is open for people who use the material informally in their work.

In past editions, Spring Forward presented LMA, as applied in Anthropology, Dance Therapy, Visual Arts, Theater, and Dance.

In 2016, in partnership with the movinstories project,  led by CMA Thecla Schiphorst, from Vancouver, Canada, LIMS Spring Forward had the pleasure to present the exhibition“scores+traces,” curated by Regina Miranda. The interactive exhibition took place at ONE Arts Space, in Tribeca/Manhattan, opening on March 10th, and presenting 19 international artists!
